In an effort to help Nashville following the recent floods that devasted that region, OfficeMax joined the group Lady Antebellum to raise money through a live benefit concert earlier this month. The award-winning group, which also offered the concert to fans online for a $5 minimum donation, pledged to donate proceeds from the sold-out concert and the live web event to the city's relief fund. OfficeMax's local store was among those businesses and residents that suffered from the flooding.

To boost the fund-raising efforts, OfficeMax announced a fund-raising challenge supporting Lady Antebellum's efforts where the office supplies retailer offered to match every dollar donated up to $50,000 for Nashville area schools. The retailer's involvement stems from its national cause initiative, A Day Made Better, which encourages national support for teachers and strives to put an end to teacher-funded classrooms. As a result of the live event, Lady Antebellum and OfficeMax donated more than $15,000 to support Nashville's recovery efforts.
